HYHYHY!!! Welcome back once again!  Today's blog is all about the biggest man made disaster, effects of which are evident till date. YES! Chernobyl it is. The Beirut's recent chemical disaster made me think about Chernobyl and it's aftermath. This information about Chernobyl is from Reader's Digest's special edition. I saw very few people explain the series of events that took place on the day of the disaster while many focused on the aftermath. Here's a little insight on the events that occurred just before the accident. What exactly happened: On the night of 25-26, April 1986, while shutting down the reactor for maintenance, a very over due test were being conducted to ascertain the capacity of the turbine's (which was nearing the end of life) power generation, in the event of a a power cut. And due to various reasons, the reactor was running at a low power (unstable). The reactor used here is RBMK-1000 which is very unstable in low power condition. This ...

HYHYHY!!! Welcome back! I was walking in the corridor, nothing like evening or morning walks, to be exact it was noon. I was looking at my garden, leaning on the gate and just left my thoughts to overtake me. I was humming this song "Ude khule aasman ke khwabonke parinde.." HYHYHY!!! Welcome to my blog once again! ABOUT THE BOOK: Today I am going to start my book reviews on this very blog. And for the first review, I picked one of my favourite books, THE ENGLISH PATIENT. It was written by Michael Ondaatje. This book was first published in 1992. In the same year, it was nominated for the Booker prize and eventually bagged it. Later again in 2018, it was nominated for the Golden Man Booker prize and once again, there's no seeing back.  ABOUT THE STORYLINE: The English Patient is a story that is set in the backdrop of the world war-II. And most of the story surrounds an abandoned Italian villa. When war circumstances urges everyone to relocate to the safer places, a Canadian nurse, Hana decides to stay back in the villa turned hospital, along with the English patient(supposed to be English by his voice), who had very less chances of survival with his brutal burns. HYHYHY!!! I don't know, maybe I am in a good mood today😉, I feel like writing one more small poem.  This poem is about the 'hesitation in beginning to write something'. And I framed the sentences in Hindi (shayari). But I will try to give the meaning of it in the end.  Here it goes: naya hi yeh sab... naya hi yeh sab, koi nai, shuru toh karenge ab! ek baar kalam se parichay toh karwao, phir dekh, parichay se kya matlab! naya hi yeh sab, arey, koi nai, shuru toh karenge ab! So, basically what I am trying to say is: " Everything is new. But don't worry, let's begin. Once you start to write, then there's no need for introductions." It is a small boost I was giving to myself when I became oblivious about my writing. And I wish these words will help you takeover that bitter gulp that's troubling you. HYHYHY!!! As I already told you, I have this thing for writing. So, in this blog I am going to present a nice romantic poem. It describes the sweetness of love between two lovers. I imagined a scene in the rain (which needs no other romantic ideas😉). Hope you enjoy it!!! Here it goes: she stood on her toes, straight and firm in the first ballet lesson, she learnt it all. although the rain joined her, she never cared, as she was overwhelmed. while the hands on her waist made her dance, the touch on her lips found her ground. That is how I imagined a romantic rainy evening! Well, may be this monsoon season compelled me to imagine as such, I guess😊😊😊. HYHYHY!!! In my very first blog I talked about my interests and stuff. Now in this blog, I am going to talk about my friends and friendships. The reason why I wanted to tell you about my friends is, the thought of them itself makes me happy😚😚😚. Also, they are my energy boosters anytime.
